Follow-up

7-Day Follow-Up Cadence

Day-by-day follow-up rhythm for proposals not yet signed. Most reps quit at day 2 — winners go to day 7.

Card 1 of 5

Day 0 evening: send the proposal + a 30-sec voice memo

Voice memo restates ONE key thing: 'hey just sent the proposal — the part about the warranty is what'll matter most when you're comparing.'
WhyVoice memo = personalized. Text-only proposal = forgettable.
Card 2 of 5

Day 1: silent. No contact.

Resist. Day 1 silence signals confidence.
WhyHovering reads as desperation. Silence is a frame.
Card 3 of 5

Day 2 mid-morning: one casual text

'Any questions popped up overnight?' Nothing else. No 'just checking in.'
WhyOpen-ended = invitation. 'Just checking' = pressure. Customers respond to invitations.
Card 4 of 5

Day 4: send a photo of a similar finished job

Text with one photo of a similar project you finished. 'Reminded me of your place — wanted to share.'
WhyVisual proof > text reassurance. Photos resurrect cold deals.
Card 5 of 5

Day 7: 'should I close this out?' text

'Hey — totally fine either way, but should I close this out on our end or are you still thinking about it?' This is the only acceptable 'pressure' text.
Why'Close out' frames a yes as recovering something. Most deals at day 7 either say yes or admit they went elsewhere. Either is data.
