Residential Close Stack

5-card sequence for the moment the homeowner says 'what's the price.' Move from price reveal to signed paperwork without leaving the kitchen.

5 cards · 0 installs by contractors · Curated by Greg / Hoffman + Nuve teardown
Card 1 of 5

Reveal price with a number-not-a-tier

Give one number. Not a range. Not three packages. 'Mrs. Cohen, the project investment is $14,200.' Pause.
WhyRange = anchor war. Tiers = decision fatigue. One number forces them to react to the actual answer.
Card 2 of 5

Use the 5-second silence after price

Don't fill the silence. Count to 5 internally. They will speak first.
WhyWhoever fills the silence loses the frame. Their first words reveal the real objection.
Card 3 of 5

Mirror their objection back as a question

Customer: 'that's a lot.' You: 'a lot?' Wait. Don't argue. Let them define the anchor.
Why'A lot' is relative. They tell you what they're comparing to, and that comparison IS the negotiation.
Card 4 of 5

Stack the warranty + financing right after price

If they don't decline outright, immediately layer the included warranty + the monthly option. 'And that includes... and you can spread that across 60 months at...'
WhyLayer value AFTER the number lands. Layering before = padding the number. After = de-risking it.
Card 5 of 5

Ask for the decision with a closed-ended question

Not 'what do you think?' Instead: 'should we start Tuesday or Thursday?' or 'do you want the financing or do you want to write the check?'
WhyOpen-ended = 'let me think.' Closed-ended forces them to engage with a real choice. Either path is yes.
